| July 29, 2006 was the 23rd Annual Woodcarvers Festival held in the City Wayside Rest (right next door to the motel). This event is held every year on the last Saturday of July (rain or shine) from 9am to 5pm. | |||||||||||||||||||||
| Woodcarving in the Blackduck area began with Jim Schram. Jim began holding classes on his farm teaching local folks the fine art of woodcarving. In 1983, area carvers decided to organize a crafter show..our Annual Woodcarvers Festival | |||||||||||||||||||||
| Now the Fesitval includes carvers from not only Minnesota but from other states and Canada as well, with this year 60 carvers displaying their products. During the Festival many carvers give a demonstration on their craft, entertainment is provided and different food booths are set up. Also in conjunction with this event is an Arts and Crafts Fair. | |||||||||||||||||||||
